Common Questions About Wood Stains
Wood Stains are concentrated colourants that penetrate bare wood to change or enrich its tone, highlight the natural grain, and match new work to existing furniture — before the sealer and topcoat are applied.
Yes. All six Super Shine Wood Stain shades are fully inter-mixable, so carpenters and polishers can create custom tones for exact colour matching. Always mix enough for the full job and test on a sample first.
Wipe off the stain sooner for a lighter tone, or apply a second coat after drying for a deeper tone. The stain can also be reduced with NC Thinner for a subtler wash of colour.
Once dry, stained surfaces can be sealed with Sanding Sealer or Brown Sealer and finished with Melamine Clear, NC Lacquer, PU or Touch Shine 1K PU — the full Super Shine system is compatible.
